Due to the rapid spread of the novel severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (COV-SARS-2), coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) was declared as a global pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Efforts to combat the disease spread led to a national lockdown in the United States and other countries around the world. Drastic lifestyle changes that ensued impacted businesses leading to massive layoffs, limited travel, and extended closures of public places. This series of changes could have an impact on both the physical and mental health of people. We embarked on this study with the goal of understanding the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on people’s dietary patterns, cooking frequencies, food purchasing decisions. Participation in this survey was completely random, with participants from different demographics across the United States.
